Small Groups
Small groups are a wonderful opportunity for you to get to know Jesus, your friends and yourself better. Each of these groups are completely open to anyone who would like to attend - unless gender specific! Each of these groups meets for about an hour to an hour and a half. We would love for you to come and take part in one of these great studies. Feel free to fill out the form at the bottome of the page if you are interested in joining a small group this semester.

Monday at Noon - Starbucks above the bookstore. Come join us for a discussion on Tim Keller's book Counterfeit Gods. Success, true love, and the life you’ve always wanted. Many of us placed our faith in these things, believing they held the key to happiness, but with a sneaking suspicion they might not deliver. Keller exposes the idols that we are so prone to follow instead of finding our true source of satisfaction in Christ. Books are $10. Feel free to come join us even if you haven't read. You will no doubt be challenged and encouraged in your walk with Christ.
Girl's Study - Wednesday night at 7:00 in Magnolia F.
What does it mean to be a woman of God? How does Jesus love for his bride, the church, change the way women view themselves and their relationships with others? Beginning with an opening chapter about the inclusion of several women in Luke's genealogy of Christ, MacArthur then focuses on the following women in individual chapters: Rahab (Luke 1:3); Ruth (Luke 1:5); Mary, mother of Jesus (Luke 1:36-38); Anna (Luke 2:36-38); Martha and Mary, sisters of Lazarus (Luke 10:38-42); Mary Magdalene (Matt. 27:56-61); the woman at the well (John 4); the poor woman of Luke (21:1-4); Eve (Gen. 3); Sarah (Genesis 11-25); and Hannah (1 Sam. 1-2). The author also considers the seductress described in Proverbs 7 and the faithful woman described in Proverbs 31.
You will want to be a part of this discussion as the girls use Macarthur's insights to discuss these women of the Bible and how this applies to life in the 21st Century on the college campus!
Guy's Study - Thursday night, 8:00 in Reflections Apartments off Bearrs Ave.
The guy's are studying the book of James with a special emphasis on how the Gospel applies to our lives. James calls us not to be just hearers of the Word, but doers of the Word as well. James wrote to 1st century Christians who struggled to put their faith into action, who were tempted by worldly wealth and success, and a people who were often double-minded, wavering between faith and doubt. The situation in the 1st Century is not so different 2000 years later! If you are interested in joining this study, you will definitely want to fill out the form below so we can send you a study guide on this book.
